Voldemort Pronunciation

When I first saw this post, I thought it was crazy. However, just a few days ago, J.K. Rowling announced that fans have been pronouncing Voldemort wrong this whole time.
The 't' at the end of Voldemort is silent, because it's meant to be three french words. 'Vol', 'de' and 'Mort' which put together can either mean flying death or stealer of death.
Although I speak French, I never even considered that. It means that the leader is the Stealer of Death and his followers are Death Eaters.
Did any of you notice this? J.K. Rowling said that although she always pronounced it with the 't' being silent, she was pretty sure she was the only one who did. This theory is supported by the fact that the movies pronounced Voldemort, as well as some other words, wrong. So if any fans read it correctly in the books, they probably pronounced it differently after seeing the movies, thinking that the movies were correct.
As always, please let me know your thoughts on the matter in the comments.

Hope you have an awesome day/evening/night,
